Detail: Architect designed part spiral staircase. 10mm stainless steel inner & outer stringers, with outer stringer made from 3 parts. 42.4mmØ 304 stainless steel handrails and 12mmØ 304 stainless steel uprights. Uprights are screwed into stainless steel strips that are set into wooden stair. Inner & outer stringers are connected by 12mmØ 304 stainless steel cross members below wooden steps. Floor fixtures are stainless steel studding set in concrete. Wall fixings use a mix of masonry to metal and wood to metal fittings with coach bolts. Work included 2m of stainless steel landing balustrade. Job took 6 weeks to fabricate and install and was for a new build in Bromley, London.
